A Walk Through Imaging Pathology

A 50 minute presentation for all radiologic technologists displaying various pathological conditions commonly seen in the radiology department. The various modalities used in the diagnostic workup of these conditions will be discussed as well as the anatomy affected and the pathological condition described.

Learning About Lymph Nodes for Mammography
Mark D. Kettler, MD
This presentation will address the range of normal intramammary and axillary lymph nodes seen on mammography. The course attendee will learn about the structure and function of lymph nodes and observe several abnormal lymph nodes seen on mammograms and correlative sonograms to include a variety of benign and malignant conditions. Finally, indications and technique for image-guided sampling of lymph nodes including fine needle aspiration (FNA) and core biopsy will be discussed.

The TIPS procedure can greatly alter the management of patients with end-stage cirrhosis. This presentation will review the indications and procedure details of the TIPS procedure.
