2020 Student Leadership Development Program

The ASRT Student Leadership Development Program (SLDP) offers students a chance to get to know the ASRT, attend educational sessions, and network with medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals from around the country. While ASRT coordinates and financially supports this program, in Oregon students are selected by the OSRT.

Applications will be accepted October 7 through December 15, 2019.

The 2020 SLDP participants will attend the ASRT Education Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 24-28, in Albequerque, NM, as well as an orientation on the evening of June 23rd.

2018-2019 OSRT Student Scholarship Recipients

Portland Community College -

Linn Benton Community College - Cinthia Ibarra, RT(R)

Hello my name is Cinthia Ibarra, I just graduated from Linn Benton Community College's Diagnostic Imaging program February 22 and passed my registry exam on February 23. I just got offered a job at Portland Adventist Health as a Radiologic Technologist and will be starting there March 11. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for awarding me with the OSRT scholarship my winter term. The scholarship helped me pay my winter tuition and took a lot of stress off of me since I had to pay less out of pocket. So, thank you I really appreciated it.

Oregon Institute of Technology - Abby Davis

My name is Abby and I'm from beautiful central Oregon. I have the cutest Carin terrier. I have two supportive parents and two wise older sisters. My true best friend is my vivacious grandmother. I appreciate art especially from 1500s AD Europe and have taken a three-series Art History class while attending Central Oregon Community College. I helped raise $1000 for Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) as a communication class project. I enjoy movies, golfing and collecting kitchenware. Many would say I am a calm and kind person with a wicked sense of humor.

I am writing to express my sincerest gratitude to you. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor and am deeply appreciative of your support. I am eagerly awaiting the start of my junior year in Radiology Technology at Oregon Tech. Ultimately, I will embark on a new adventure at a medical facility when it comes time for my senior year externship. The financial assistance you provided will be of great help to me in paying my educational expenses.
